Chattanooga Vacation
August 16th and 17th we took advantage of Ian's daycare being closed for a teachers' work day and we headed northeast to Chattanooga -- an easy three-hour drive up I59. We had a fine time staying at the Country Inn & Suites (two rooms -- one for Ian to go to sleep in at 8:00!) and exploring the TN Aquarium, the Chattanooga Choo Choo, Raccoon Mountain Caverns, Creative Discovery Museum Science, the incline railway (!) and other sights.
For Ian, the highpoint may have been riding around Chattanooga in a "Duck" and then driving right into the Tennessee River to explore the river ecosystem.
Ian even got to drive... er... steer the "boat" in the water.
We all hated to leave Chattanoogie!
