Golden Locks
Marysia gave Ian his first hair cut today.
Not a buzz cut or anything. Just a bit of a trim to make his hair look fuller. 'Course, we couldn't bear to part with all of these golden locks and so we've stored some in a Ziploc bag.
We can't help wondering if his hair will stay this blond. Both Marysia and I were pretty fair as toddlers, but it didn't last. In my case, none of the hair lasted.
Seeing his locks in a bag reminded me of the time in high school when I cut my ponytail in order to get a job. We put the shorn hair in a bag and gave it to the drama teacher to use to make fake beards.
I like to think that my legacy still lives on at the Central High drama department.
