Happy Christmas

We have had a most happy Christmas, due in large part to the generosity of family and friends. Ian, as you might imagine, cleaned up.

Many thanks to all "and to all a good night"!

And now... pictorial proof of the merriment:

Bricks Made Out of Pez

Our friends Loti and Don send us a gingerbread casita from Tucson. Last night (and this morning) we built it.

Ian was fascinated. Me, too. Pez makes perfect little bricks!

Ian Sings "Rudolph"

Just in time for Christmas, here's a little recording of Ian singing "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer." It was recorded as we were driving to the Tuscaloosa Library last week. (You may hear some car noise in the background.)

I'm going to try embedding an MP3 file of Ian's singing into this post, but I've never done that before and I'm not sure how well it'll work.

I guess I won't find out until I actually post this!

Update:

Hmmm... what I did before seems to have turned Blog Ian into something like a podcast, but that's not what I wanted to do! So, here's a link to the MP3 file:

Just click on it and your computer's music player should take care of the rest. And if you right-click it (Mac: control-click), you'll have the option to "download the link" (or words to that effect), which will allow you to save the MP3 file on your own computer. Listen to Ian sing anytime you like! Configure your computer so that you hear Ian's song every time your computer boots up. Well, even I think that might be overkill.

Here's an embedded audio player that might work, too:
